reziora is a product of Big Friendly Group (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa. When we refer to "reziora", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Big Friendly Group (Pty) Ltd.
We operate a digital community platform for residential developments, including retirement villages, lifestyle estates and gated communities. Our platform is accessible at reziora.com and through community-specific subdomains (for example, yourcommunity.reziora.app).

Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to three groups of people:
- Website visitors - people who visit reziora.com
- Operators - organisations (such as a retirement village or property group) that use reziora to manage their community
- Residents and family members - individuals who use the reziora platform as part of their residential community
What information we collect
When you visit reziora.com
- Information you submit via our contact or demo request form (name, email address, organisation, community type, any message you choose to include)
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics data via Vercel Web Analytics, including page views, referrer, device type, browser and country. No cookies are used and no personally identifiable information is collected.
When you use the reziora platform (residents and operators)
- Account information - your name, email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text)
- Profile information - information you choose to add to your community profile, such as your background, interests, languages, how you prefer to be contacted, and a profile photo
- Community activity - RSVPs, meal selections, requests you log, notices you read, and other interactions within your community platform
- Content you create - notices, posts, recommendations or other content you publish within your community
- Device information - if you add reziora to your home screen as a progressive web app, we may store a push notification token to send you community updates
Information we do not collect
- Payment card details (we do not process payments directly)
- Government identity numbers
- Biometric data
- Sensitive health information beyond dietary preferences you choose to share
How we use your information
Website enquiries
We use information submitted via our website forms solely to respond to your enquiry or demo request. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Platform use
- To provide and operate the reziora platform for your community
- To personalise your experience, such as suggesting neighbours with shared interests
- To send community notifications you have opted into (event reminders, notices, updates)
- To enable community search and intelligence features, using information contributed by you and your community
- To provide operators with anonymised engagement analytics (for example, how many residents RSVPd to events this month)
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform
Community Intelligence Search
reziora includes a community search feature that allows residents to ask questions and receive answers drawn from information within their community - including resident profiles, events, notices, documents and local recommendations.
This feature uses an AI language model (provided by Anthropic) to generate responses. Information used to generate responses comes only from within your community's platform. No information is shared with other communities and no general internet results are used.
By contributing information to your community profile or posting content, you agree that this information may be used within your community's search feature to help other residents find relevant answers.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following third-party service providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase - our database and authentication provider. Data is stored on servers located in Paris, France (European Union). Supabase complies with EU data protection standards.
- Anthropic - provider of the AI model used for Community Intelligence Search. Data sent to Anthropic is used only to generate responses and is subject to Anthropic's data processing terms.
- Resend - our email delivery provider, used to send transactional emails such as account verification and community notifications.
- Vercel - our hosting provider. reziora is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, cookieless visitor analytics on our marketing website.
- Formspree - used to process enquiry and demo request submissions from our marketing website.
We may also share information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of reziora, our operators, or residents.
Data storage and transfer
Your data is stored by Supabase on servers located in Paris, France. If you are based in South Africa or the United Kingdom, this means your data is transferred to and processed within the European Union.
The EU provides a level of data protection recognised as adequate under both South African POPIA requirements and UK GDPR standards. Where required, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
How long we keep your information
- Website enquiries - we retain enquiry submissions for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted.
- Platform accounts - we retain your account and profile information for as long as your community uses reziora, plus a reasonable period after. If you leave a community or your community stops using the platform, your personal data will be deleted within 90 days of a deletion request.
- Community content - notices, events, and other community content may be retained by the operator for their own records. Contact your community manager for details.
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access - you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction - you can update or correct your information at any time through your profile settings, or by contacting us
- Deletion - you can request that we delete your personal information. Note that some information may be retained where we have a legal obligation to do so.
- Objection - you can object to certain uses of your information
- Portability - you can request a copy of your information in a portable format

Cookies and analytics
Our marketing website (reziora.com) uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated data including page views, referrer information, device type, browser and country. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sessions, and does not share data with third parties for advertising purposes. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
The reziora platform uses session cookies necessary for authentication and security. These are essential to the operation of the platform and cannot be disabled.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. These include encrypted data storage, secure authentication, and access controls that limit who can view resident data.
No system is completely secure. If you become aware of any security concern, please contact us immediately at hello@reziora.com.
Children
reziora is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Applicable law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). For operators and residents based in the United Kingdom, we also comply with the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify operators directly. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
